Yesterday at Lake Victoria, Point Lonsdale there were huge numbers of Banded Stilts, 600/700 +....an impressive sight. Also large rafts of Hoary-headed Grebes. The water level has commenced to fall and good edges are exposed bringing in numbers of Red-necked Stints and Sharp-tailed Sandpipers. This area always provided good birding. Almost forgot...3 Great Crested Grebes.
