I need help identifying a lone largish shearwater I saw flying over Gannet Beach at Bawley Point last week. I could only make out the general dark (brownish) colour of the wings, body and head, and the whitish underbelly. Unfortunately I cant give anymore details. It briefly soared low over the beach near a Crested Tern before vanishing out to sea again. I suspect it was one of the common large shearwater species but havent found a picture which corresponds to what I saw.
