Funnily enough, I saw seven of what were no doubt the same birds David
reports, on 2 January (10:30), at exactly that site: a small wetland to
the west of the road, about 200 metres south of Dawson River Bridge on
the road between Taree and Cundletown on Manning River Drive (which I
believe is the Old Pacific Hwy).
