Dear all,

Just a short question for the list.

This weeks 'Weekly Times' newspaper has a cover story on the claimed conflict in
rural seaside communities regarding the installation and running of new wind
energy generators along the Victorian coast.

In amongst the supporting stories is a claim from a landholder that '..one
falcon a week for three months' was being killed by the generators. I believe
the locality was south-western Victoria.

(I am aware there has been some concern for the new generators in western
Victoria, as some have been in the flyway of our endangered Orange-bellied
Parrot)

This sounds unusually large for kills of this bird group to me. Does anyone
have thoughts either way?
