Dear listers,

I made a visit to Lake Wendouree yesterday while in Ballarat in the
afternoon. For those who are interested, there were 4 Black-tailed Native
Hens on the northern shore (I think it is the northern; anyway, the place
opposite the botanic gardens where they are currently building a structure
on the lake side and where the only real habitat reaches the shore). They
were feeding mostly out in the open on grass on the botanic gardens side.
Nothing else of real note but Baillons and Spotted Crake showed well.

Cheers,

Simon.
