Birding-ausers
Sincere apologies for the Badtrans virus which I appear to have propagated on
5/12/01. I think it
was received in mail to the CBOC on 4/12/01, an email with no subject or
content, just an attachment
which opens automatically if the Preview pane is used in Outlook Express
(according to an article in
Icon in today's Sydney Morning Herald).
I subscribe to Symantec's fortnightly update (and use it !!), so I thought I
was being a good
netter. Just goes to show.
Anyway, several hours later my system is clean and viral protection up to date.

Chris Shinton
Activities Officer CBOC
