Add my name to the list of those who have found happiness in the grounds of
Brisbane's Sherwood Arboretum.

After enjoying a seemingly unconcerned Baillon's Crake, just a few metres
away, I raised my binoculars a little to focus on a superbly marked male
Little Bittern clinging to adjacent reeds, equally unconcerned and equally
close. He hunted his way around the reedy margins of the lake for the next
twenty minutes, allowing us to follow his progress until we decided we
really couldn't spend the whole day with him and headed off to other
pastures.

What a great little park!

After a busy month, I've just updated the Abberton website with 15 or so new
photos of recent sightings in the Lockyer Valley. It's getting a bit like a
local birding-aus with illustrations!
