Hi Robert,

The Painted Honeyeater is one bird that has eluded me. Would you mind telling where near Dunkeld you saw them. I'm often over that way birding and I love to check them out. ;~)

A friend and I spent today climbing Mt Abrupt from the western side and we spotted a few interesting species. We saw 3 Lathan's Snipe high up on the slopes which surprised us. We also had a wonderful view of an Eastern Spinebill as it fed only a few feet away from us on the track. Lots of other birds to, but nothing out of the ordinary.

Cheers,

David Cameron
