Quick report from Sat 13th trip to Ourimbah, Chitaway Pt, Norah Head: Seen from the Rest Area at the Ourimbah exit: 2 x Pacific Bazas doing a perfect imitation of Stephen Debus's drawings of a display flight. Also a lone Golden-headed cisticolla (and the middle half of a long black snake (front and back somewhere in the grass near my feet): exit, stage left!). Seen in Dog Trap Road: 2 x sightings of Regent Honeyeaters, 1 x fox with a mouth full of feathers, 1 x local resident thinking I'm a burglar (at 6.30am!). Seen at Chitaway Pt: very nice low pass from 2x Whistling Kites and a nice pose from a Striated Heron. Norah Head - not much, but it was midday!
