Hi Duncan & others

Thanks for the replies re Fan-tailed Cuckoos.  I think some people have
misunderstood me.  It's not that I think there aren't ANY around, but more
that I think there aren't very MANY!  On recent trips to the Central
Highlands, plains around Melbourne, and foothills in East Gippsland up from
Bairnsdale, I've either recorded none or very few.  I'd have expected them
to be prominently calling at this time.  Pallids, Horsfield's & Shining
Bronze-cuckoos are calling madly, and seem normally abundant.
