Hi All,
Scored the third weekend twitch in the shrubbery going down to the first
lookout stage from "The Arch" carpark, near Port Campbell on Victoria's
Great Ocean Rd. viz best views of a pair of Rufous Bristlebirds who came
to "air-kissing" after we'd heard them squeaking.
It was a windy day, and although the birds were calling all over the place
at "London Bridge" they wouldn't show, ditto at "Loch Aird Gorge" and Aireys
Inlet Lighthouse carparks and tracks.
A Striated Fieldwren was singing atop a shrub five metres from the track
to the "Twelve Apostles" on the left, just before the under-road tunnel.
Two Right Whales,(no dorsal fins), possibly mother and calf, seen off the
Aireys Inlet Lighthouse-to-beach track.
                                Cheers
                                      Michael &Penny Hunter
