Bette,
It was Ann Linsey who first identified the Lesser
Yellow-legs at Ash Island Ponds on the afternoon of 13 September 2001. She rang
me on the following morning after she had another look and was certain of her
identifcation. Arron Davies and I joined Terry Lindsey and Anne on site to get
great views of the bird later that morning of 14 September 2001.
