Gooday all,
Had a QWSG survey at the Bowen Saltworks. Had the company of Maureen Cooper
and Desley Williams. The bonus was the two scopes especially Maureens Kowa
which proved excellent for picking up the finer details of plumage for this
difficult group of birds.
Of special interest were the 11 Red necked Avocets, a target species for my
guests visit to Bowen.
Today we are off to Edgecumbe Bay/Gregory River area just south of Bowen.
This area has been reported as un-atlassed so it looks like an interesting
day ahead.
