Birdline Victoria Update for the week ending 19/8/01

Quite a few people have seen the Freckled Ducks at Edithvale Wetlands.  They can be seen quite easily from the viewing platform nearest to the golf course on Edithvale Road (the extension of Springvale Rd).  The birds were originally seen on Sunday and could still be seen at lunch time on Thursday from the ramp.  This may be the first sighting for the wetland of Freck's so make sure you pay a visit.

The viewing platforms are always open, however the hide is open between 1-5 pm on Saturdays and Sundays, as is staffed by volunteers from the Friends of Edithvale-Seaford Wetlands
