Hi all,

I live in Balwyn in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne and for the last few
years have noted when the Blackbird first starts singing. The first songs
start in the second week of August, and right on cue this morning I heard
my first Blackbird song. By the end of August I expect the morning air to
be awash with Blackbird song. I wonder how the timing of the Blackbird song
compares in other parts of the country?
Through the winter I have been hearing the occasional Song Thrush singing.

Rory
