Hi to all,
The Broome Bird Observatory, - ( A not for profit,
conservation, research and educational facility), - would like to advise
that there are still some vacancies on their "Welcome the Waders Back"
course which runs from the 15th September to the 20th September 2001.

The Course Leaders are The Wardens and participants will be able to witness
the arrival of the Shorebirds as they return in their thousands from their
Arctic breeding grounds.
Identification is made easy with many of the birds still dressed in their
best breeding plumage and there is plenty of time to observe them at their
high tide roosts or from the shade of the mangroves as they feed on the
mudflats of Roebuck Bay.

Anyone wishing to avail themselves of this opportunity should ring Nat, Luke
or Will who are the BBO's friendly wardens as soon as possible on 61 08 9193
5600 or Email the BBO on to make certain of your place on
tour.
