Although I am very prepared to think ill of feral animals, I can't help
thinking that Bustards have lived alongside Dingoes for at least 5,000
years, and Dingoes must be much more of a threat to them than foxes (and
Bustards still live alongside Dingoes throughout much of their range).
Before foxes there were also Quolls, who must have taken some eggs, and up
25,000 years ago there were large marsupial carnivores too (Thylacines, a
larger sp of Thylacine, Thylacoelo &c).
