 Hey All,

Looking for a bit of 'oil' on the European Greenfinch. I will be travelling through Lithgow, Bathurst, Orange and Cowra this weekend. I have heard that the Greenfinch can be seen in some of these towns, could anybody give me some worhty locations to check out. Also, has anyone seen Superb Parrots near Cowra recently? Just had our Wader surveys last weekend in the Hunter Estuary. Good numbers of Avocets are still present-about 1500. Eastern Curlews numbered about 150, Bar-tailed Godwits 250 and one Black-tailed Godwit.Grey-tailed Tattlers were not seen but have been seen recently as well as one Curlew Sandpiper. Kooragang Island had 125 Australasian Shovelers, Red-kneed Dotterels and one Greenshank. Caspian and Gull-billed Terns were also seen in the estuary. We recently had approx. 200 Pink-eared Ducks on Ash Island.

Cheers,
Steve Roderick
