Water-Proofing of Nest Boxes

Hi,

We have 25 plywood nest boxes for Superb Parrots to water-proof.

Can anyone suggest the best way to water-proof them? Paint or varnish? Whatkind? If paint, what colour ?


Should they be painted inside as well as out?

I would be grateful for any suggestions and comments.
