Also just back from a trip to Central West NSW which included Weddin
Mountains.  Among others seen around the picnic area, we saw both
yellow-tufted and white-plumed HEs.  A full list will follow later.

However, of most interest was the Koel which we saw up past Ben Hall's rock.
Not sure if the NPWS list we had was up to date, but it certainly did not
have a Koel on it.  I associate Koel's with summer in Sydney and with
Queensland, not with winter in central NSW!  We (2) had a clear view for
some time, and both have seen Koel's before.  I assume some Koel's must
over-winter?
