Hi Mark

Your ID sounds spot on.  Flame Robin 'brown birds' do hang around in groups
in open country at this time of year.  Look out too for the other wandering
robins (Pink & Rose), but they all look different and behave somewhat
differently (see Tzaros' recent postings on his robin hotspot near Bendigo).
