I recently helped put some local birding info onto the Sandy Point
website established by Neil Shaw at the cafe there (see
www.sandypt.com.au, it's an interesting site). I sent him a birdlist
based on information from NRE. Since then a local birder contacted the
site with a number of sightings not on that list. Most were clearly to
be expected there ,but some raised doubts when I consulted someone who
knows more than me.

At Sandy Point there is low coastal scrub, open paddocks with a few
dams, the ocean beach, and the inlet with salt marsh areas.
I would appreciate some advice on whether the following are likely
sightings:

Tree Sparrow
Freckled Duck
Red-browed treecreeper
Grey (white) Goshawk
Dusky Robin
Black Currawong

I know 2 of these are supposed to be in Tasmania only, but Sandy Point
is pretty close to Tassie!

Thanks in anticipation

Jenny
