Whilst on a tour around Geelong today checking areas damaged by recent heavy
rains, saw 8 Crested Pigeons sitting on power lines on the Bacchus Marsh Rd
on the outskirts of Corio. Will be interesting to see if they become
established in Geelong and push out the Turtledoves.

Also, duirng a five minute interlude at Rippleside Park in Geelong:
Gannet x 5 diving just off shore, along with a good number of Crested Terns,
Silver Gulls, Little Pied Cormorant, Pacific Gull, Pied Oystercatcher x 2,
lots of Rock Doves, Masked Lapwing, Common Starling, Magpie Lark,
White-faced Heron, Willie Wagtail, Spotted Turtledove, New Holland
Honeyeater, Pruple-crowned Lorikeet, Red Wattlebird, House Sparrow,
Blackbird, Little Black Cormorant, Cattle Egret x 4, Great Egret, and 3 Gang
Gang Cockatoos.

Cheers
