Hi all
This morning, in the rain, I walked along Johnson Street, up the hill to Kew (Melbourne) and was surprised to see 3 pairs of Red Rump Parrots. They and I were wet!
cheers
Michele

The relentless progress of Crested Pigeons towards the Melbourne CBD continues - this morning there was one on Ramsden St oval, part of my local patch in Clifton Hill,  4.5 km from the GPO. This is the second I have seen in the district in 19 years, the first a few months back in Yarra Bend Park. I am looking forward to ticking it off as a yard bird.

A few metres away was a male Flame Robin -  my first record for the district since the early 80's when they turned up every June/July - this was the earliest I've seen. It and a least one female have been present since last weekend.

Cheers
Neville Pamment
