Hi All,

I took a drive today south from Sydney & visited some of the wetland sites around Lake Illawarra. The main places of interest were the Ash Pond at Yallah, Killalea Lagoon & the Lake entrance at Windang. I stopped off in the Royal NP on the way home to add a few more birds to the days list.

 Birds of interest were:

Australian Shelduck (5) & Musk Duck (1) at Killalea.

Pink-eared Duck (2), Australian Shoveler (12+), Musk Duck (3), Little Eagle (2), Brown Falcon (2), & Little Grassbird (lots!) at Yallah.

Double-banded Plover (25+), Caspian Tern (12) & Kelp Gull (15+) at Windang.

Total species for the day were 90.

Regards

Marc Anderson
