G'day all I saw a couple of dark crakes in a muddy reed bed on the shore of Lake Hamilton a few days ago but didn't have my binoculars. Three attempts to see them with binoculars resulted in success today with the brief but clear view of one Spotless Crake. Only saw my first one in January - now I've seen them at three different locations in western Victoria!
