I hadn't been to Toolangi since late 2000, so a visit was in order.
Toolangi State Forest is in the Yarra Ranges near Melbourne.  The Wirrawilla
Rainforest Walk is at about 550m asl; an area of Mountain Ash forest, with
Myrtle Beech/Sassafras rainforest in some gullies.  I followed my usual
ambling route up the track beside the rainforest walk, through the quarry,
and up the Mount St Leonard Trail about 1km or so.  The birding was great
today, and the Pink Robin sighting a real highlight.

Wirrawilla Rainforest Walk starts from the corner of Quarry Road and Sylvia
Creek Road, Mount Tanglefoot, Toolangi State Forest, Victoria.  Habitat in
the
gully is cool temperate rainforest of Myrtle Beech and Sassafras.
Surrounding
forest is mostly 40-50 year old Mountain Ash regrowth. //GP;
