Hi there,
Red-rumped parrots have adapted to become metro waders. Last Saturday watched M&F pairs playing tag on mangrove saplings, waddling thru the mudflats, drinking a little saltwater, feeding on the bank within a metre of bemused Sacred Kingfishers and bathing/drinking at fresh water drain - low tide at Shell Pt, Botany Bay. I guess it's not to be unexpected, as I've also seen galahs, sulpur-crested and feral corellas doing similar in the mudflats, but the red-rumps somehow seem incongruous!

Regards
