Hello all,

Chris Tzaros is offline but he and I saw a Pectoral Sandpiper at Woodvale
treatment plant, north-west of Bendigo on the 12th. Chris found this bird a few
weeks ago and it is still present. The Pectoral was a newie for me, and Chris
saw his first ever Double-banded Plover this time around. Also two stints with
single orange flags on the right leg.

At Woorinen Lakes on the 13th (north-west Victoria, north of Swan Hill), another
Double-banded Plover (apparently autumn is the best time for them in inland
Vic), a Spotted Crake, NO Banded Stilts at all (1700 a few weeks ago), and
rediscovered the stints with the two flags on the right leg. The bottom flag is
indeed yellow, and this means it was tagged in South Australia (thanks Clive
Minton). Two Shovellers had orange tags on them too. Who tags ducks?
