 G'day all,

Just a brief wader report from Boonooroo, south of
Maryborough, Qld. Went yesterday with Eric Zillmann & had the spectacle we
never tire of.

Masses of Bar-tailed Godwit (1,800+), Grey-tailed
Tattlers (1,200), Great Knot (200), Red Knot (4), Greater Sand-Plovers (220),
Lesser Sand Plovers (40), Red-capped Plovers (46), Grey Plovers (50), Terek
(60), Sharp-tailed (30) & Curlew Sandpipers (120), Greenshank (10), Whimbrel
(7), Easter Curlew (50), Turnstone (30), Red-necked Stint (200), Pied
Oystercatcher (42)  & a single Sanderling.

Particularly nice to see the Great Knot colouring
up. Had 5 leg-flagged birds (3 tattlers & 2 Great Knot). Details have been
sent to the ABBBS.

No luck picking up a dowitcher altho we looked!
It's amazing how long they can keep their bills tucked into their
backs.

Cheers,
Chris
