I don't know anything about the process of converting chats into spaghetti
bolognaise, but I do know that for years the Belgian chocolate industry
combined them with a nougat-like confection in order to produce a much
sought after delicacy.

A friend and myself had just arrived in Brussels, and he was very anxious to
find some of this legendary treat to try for himself, and decided to ask
about it at the first opportunity. So as we were leaving the main railway
station he spied a young lad masticating vigorously on some type of
confection, and approaching the youth he said "Pardon me boy, is that the
chat-au-nougat you chew?"
