Hi everybody -

For your information, the notice below. The cost is, I presume, in US
dollars.

Cheers,
Hugo

Once again this spring (as every year since 1984) a survey for the study
and the protection of migrating Raptors and other soaring birds is being
organised at the Straits of Messina, Southern Italy.

>From 1st April up to 28th May the WWF will be holding an international camp
for counting and protecting the migrating birds through this site.

At the Straits of Messina nearly all WP raptor species have been counted
and it is one of the best places to see all the Harriers, Red-footed
Falcon, Lesser Kestrel, Eleonora's Falcon, European Lanner; it is the only
place in the WP with regular sightings of Amur Falcon. The site is also
very good for all the typical Mediterranean birds and in total 313 species
have been recorded so far.

For the period of the survey, volunteers are vitally needed; people taking
part - for any period they choose - will pay an all-inclusive price (for
lodging, materials, food, cars, guiding and so on) of just ten dollars a
day. For more details or to enrol directly please contact:
