Hi All,

Sorry for any cross posting, but we thought there may be many people
interested in seeing this.

We have added a photo of a strange looking Shy Albatross to our website at
http://www.zestforbirds.co.za under the "Bizarre Birds" photographic gallery
which was taken on a pelagic trip out of Cape Town recently.

The bird showed a clean white back, vaguely reminiscent of a Royal or
Wandering Albatross, and was markedly bigger than all the surrounding Shy
Albatrosses.

We'd be interested to hear if anyone else has ever seen a Shy Albatross like
this and would like to compile information on the regularity of occurrence
of Shy Albatrosses showing a white back. Please let us know.

Kind Regards
Trevor and John
