Hi John,Last report, the King Penguin was still present on last Thursday (15/2) and still moulting, I asked the local ranger to ask walkers as they came back if it was there and to pass the message on, but I haven't heard since. There have been another two reported since the first one (best year since 1988). One was at Recherche Bay not far from Cockle Creek. It only stayed a few hours. The third was moulting at a beach at Marrawah (north-west Tasmania) last weekend, but was mauled and killed by a dog (as have a lot of Little Penguins been lately). tim.
