I had a similar email some time ago that opened a webpage in fullscreen
mode (an Internet Explorer "feature", helped by another "feature" in
Outlook Express - curse you, Microsoft) and locked out access to the
usual escape buttons. Using Ctrl-Alt-Del to get the task manager
and ending the offending Internet Explorer process did the trick.
By disabling the mail preview option, it is possible to view the
source of the message without opening it.

If possible, disable Java and Javascript in your mail program;
it's bad enough receiving HTML-formatted email without getting
ones that hijack your browser!
