Following are highlights from Birdline Victoria over the past week:

w       29 November - A Common Koel seen in the carpark of the Yarra Bend Public Golf Course (Melways reference 2D, 7G)

w       25 November - Painted Snipe at the Eastern Treatment Plant in Carrum, entry is restricted, however access may be arranged contact Mike Carter on 9787 7136 for details

w       2 December - No Painted Snipes were seen at the Carrum Sewage Works, however a White-winged Black Tern was seen there

w       2 December - Approximately 600 Banded Stilts, without chest bands at Lake Linlithgow, 15 km east of Hamilton

w       29 November - A Painted Button Quail was seen on the Macfalene Walk, across the Yarra River from the Koel car park

w       26 November - A Brush Cuckoo was heard at Mortimer Picnic Ground, Bunyip State Park in Gembrook
