That depends on what you define as near, as the Pacific Hwy and
O'Reilly's are a fair way inland.  I'm no expert on shorebirds round the
gold coast, but perhaps up the northern end of the spit round Broadbeach
might have something.  In anycase you would need to know the tide
times.  At low tide, you might have a look at the mudflats round
wellington and Cleveland Pts ...
