Yesterday I was driving between Nyngan and Dubbo in central NSW.  Just west of Trangie, about 80km west of Dubbo, there were about 40 emus gathered into a large paddock of wheat.  I don't suppose that the farmer will have been very happy about it.

The countryside further about was very wet, and I assume that the emus had been driven out of places that they normally would be.
