Hello Michael,

There's a book by James A. Jobling entitled "Dictionary of Scientific Bird
Names"  which was published by Oxford University Press in 1991. I've seen it
in the State Library in Sydney and it looked quite good. I can't say whether
its got the particular information that you're after.
