G'day All, Just a quick note to inform that whilst on our trip to Victoria during the past 2 weeks we encountered a pair of Painted Snipe (Rostratula bengalensis) at Yambuk Lake west of Port Fairy on 24 October. Unfortunately this site has since been inundated by major flooding. We have been told that this is only the third record for Victoria this decade. If anyone would like further details (I have poor quality video evidence) please contact me on Hopefully I will be able to post a full trip-report in the near-future.
