Hi all,

Just a note on the BOCA organised "Breakfast with the birds" the Sunday
previous
at Banyule Flats in Heidelberg (Melb).My wife, 2 year old and i had a
great morning
along with around 60 others. Highlights for me were several Nankeen
Night Herons, my first Lathams Snipe and excellent views of a Grey
Butcherbird's nest with both parents attending to young!. The mornings
tally reaching 67, not bad for 2 hours casual birding!. the most
enjoyable factor was the ease of interaction between experienced,patient
guides and first timers etc.For myself this is the basis to birding -
fun and learning in a non-discriminatory manner.
