Interesting - round my neck of Toohey Forest, when there are flowers to
be defended, it is the noisy friarbirds who give the noisy miners the
boot.  [A couple of friarbirds will drive a whole tribe of miners away -
when they are motivated].

Interestingly this afternoon, at my friends place near Rathdowney, it
was a striped honeyeater that was seeing off a pair of little friarbirds
out of its preferred tree ...
