hI B/AUSERS/ S CLARKE.
Steve asked for info on sorting
out Singing Bushlark from Skylark
and R/ Pipit in flight. In my
expierience I look for the white
trailing edge of the wing in a Pipit.
and the difference in size bewen
the Bushlark and the other two
is very noticeable in flight the
Bushlark looking light a large
moth with very fast fluttering of the
wings. The songs of all three are
very much different once you get to
know them, the Buslark as a
song more similar to the Skylark
than a Pipit, but instead of the song
being continues like the Skylark it
stops and starts with much more
harsher notes. The Pipits flight song
seems not to much different to the
call it gives when post sitting.
hope this helps Steve
