Sorry to dominate the list today - but it does highlight the need to
keep different topics in separate messages if possible - this makes
it a lot easier for people searching the archives, which seems to be
happening a lot more thesse days. Using a clear SUBJECT helps as
well :-)
This morning there was a pair of LITTLE Corellas just outside my
back fence - first one wheeling around calling, then sitting high in
a tree calling, then it was joined by its (possible) mate.
I've seen Long-billeds here occasionally - they are regularly near
the You Yangs a few Km away, but my only other Little Corella in the
district was a fairly obvious cagebird on a day out in a local park.
What is the general thinking here? They didn't behave like
cagebirds (but I'm hardly an expert on that). Could they be part of
a feral population that is establishing itself in the area, as
elsewhere? Or could I be looking at the Real Thing?
