Good to get some positive feedback!

As well as being on the web: http://www.nre.vic.gov.au/plntanml/biodiversity/

Victoria's Biodiversity is available in hard Copy from the NRE information
centre and regional offices ($20).

Part 3 "Directions in Managment" is probably of greatest interest to birding-aus
subscribers includes details the characteristics and major conservation issues
in each bioregion in each Victorian bioregion

The Strategy was release at the end of 1997 and is legally the Flora and Fauna
Guarantee strategy under the Flora and Fauna Guarantee Act 1988 (Victoria's main
Biodiveristy Conservation Legislation).

The current government has reiterated its support for the strategy and announced
the development of an implementation program for it to be called " Sustaining
Our Biodiversity"
This was announced by Cheryl Garbutt, Minister for Environment and Conservation
at the Victorian launch of the National Local Govenment Biodiversity Strategy on
14th September this Year.

I hope this isn't considered too much of an advert.

Cheers
