Hi All

This is a call to some of our north side Sydney birdos or possibly Alan Morris or Lauris Hopkins if she is still out there somewhere.Yesterday I was doing some birding around Warriwood wetland on the north side of Sydney harbour when I heard what I was sure was a White-throated Gerygone calling , it only called once but it had that distinctive falling leaf call, I looked for the bird without any luck and after a while became unsure as there are Brown Warblers in the area and I have never recorded a WTG in this area, or in fact this close to the coast anywhere in Sydney. Heaps out west but none around my way!---Anyone like to offer a comment?

Incidentally there were a couple of other good birds about, 7 Latham's Snipe feeding on the mud at Katoa Close on Warriwood wetland and a Powerful Owl on Mullet Creek upstream from Irrawong Reserve. Mullet Creek flows into Warriwood wetland.
