Collared Sparrowhawks in southern Melbourne

Subject:	Collared Sparrowhawks in southern Melbourne

Today I saw a pair of Collared Sparrowhawks building a nest in
Landcox Park, East Brighton.   This is about 15km from the CBD.

Other local notables, a quail (probable Stubble Quail male,
possibly residing at the George St. reserve in Sandringham for 9
days. Black-winged Stilts passing through. 

Our new lake at Elsternwick Park attracted Grey Teal on
Wednesday and a couple of Pacific Heron on Thursday.

Spent a few minutes on Friday communing with a Rakali (Hydromys
chrysogaster) which we had trapped.  What a gorgeous animal.
