Hi Birders,
The first Little Terns in breeding plumage arrived at Picnic Point, The Entrance, on Tuggerah lakes on Tuesday 3 October 2000. They have bred here in the past but conditions are no longer suitable so hopefully they will move to a safer breeding location.

The Banded Stilt found at Chittaway Bay, Tuggerah Lakes on 2/10/00 was gone by the following morning.

The Central Coast's first Dollarbird was seen at Saratoga on 30/9/00 and another was at Lees Reserve Chittaway on 3/10/00.

the Central Coast's first Pallid Cuckoo for the season was at Woongarra near Charmhaven on 3/10/00 (we are a last resort for Pallids!)

Finally a returning Red-necked Stint on 1/10/00 was seen with an orange flag on its right leg at Picnic Point, The Entrance. On about 25/9/00 two Red Knots with orange flags on their legs were seen at the same place by Rob Quinan. The lat longs being 30 20 20 S, 151 29 34 E
