It is good to hear of this report of the Koondrook Curlews. Last year Peter
Disher (Barham birdo) introduced me to the pair. They were in a rather small
paddock amongst a line of River Red Gum, keeping at best out of sight, and
keeping well away from the cows who were also in the paddock. Recently I was
in Barham/Koondrook running a school holiday program and thought I would
have a look for them again, but had no luck. I tried a few different days
but nothing. Obviously I missed the most logical place to look, the local
panel beaters.
