Hi All
Just wondering if anyone knows anything about the seasonal movements of
Crescent Honeyeaters in Victoria. I have seen them recently in Toolangi

State Forest (Central Highlands, north of Healesville) foraging on
Mountain Correa flowers and also high in Mountain Ash trees where I
assume they feed on insects, but did not see or hear them during the
middle of winter. Do they move to other areas during winter or are they

simply quiet and unobtrusive at that time of year? They are so active
over summer that it is hard to imagine them just being quiet in winter,
but I wonder where they go.
Cheers,
Merrilyn.
